Christmas Chocolate Biscuit Cake

We aren’t the biggest fans of Christmas cake in my house and so we usually just forgo the cake at Christmas dinner. However, this year I decided that I wanted to make a Christmas themed cake, in the form of a chocolate biscuit cake (we all LOVE that!)

That does mean that I need to learn how to make it though..

I have been fiddling around with different quantities and ingredients for a while, but never really found the right balance… until now 🙂 I finally have a combo that I adore and tastes delicious

Thought I would share the recipe, it’s super simple to make:

Clara’s Chocolate Biscuit Cake Recipe

Ingredients

2 Tins Condensed Milk
220g Butter
450g Cadburys Bournville Dark Chocolate
355g Digestive Biscuits (McVites)
355g Rich Tea Biscuits (McVites)
1 Large Share Bag Malteasers / 3 Small Bags

Method

Gently heat the condensed milk, butter and chocolate together in a large pot. Stir carefully as it has a tendency to burn. Remove from heat once combined.

Break up the biscuits roughly, add to chocolate mixture with malteasers and mash them up very roughly in the pot.

Pour the mixture into a 8inch/20cm loose bottomed round tin with a triple layer of cling film and leave in the fridge for 5-6 hours

Cut into slices and enjoy 🙂
